New Poll: Most Idahoans Don’t Want Protections For #Wolves

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - a new poll shows most Idahoans do not want protections for wolves.

Dan Jones and Associates surveyed close to 600 adults in the state.
They found that 58 percent of Idahoans do not want the wolf protected by state or federal governments.

39 percent do want such protections and 3 percent do not have an opinion.

According to the survey, 72 percent of Republicans oppose protecting wolves while 71 percent of Democrats favor protection of the animal.

Idaho wildlife officials say there are 104 wolf packs in the state.
